Position: Chief Financial Officer

William A. van Yzerloo has served as Chief Financial Officer since April, 2004. He held the position of Vice President, Corporate Development from 2003 to 2005. Mr. van Yzerloo has more than 17 years of executive experience in the fields of finance, business and corporate development, and operations in the energy industry. Until 2002, he held the position of Vice President and Chief Financial Officer at Aquila Networks Canada Ltd. and its predecessor, West Kootenay Power Ltd. He started his career with West Kootenay Power in 1984 as Internal Auditor and moved to the positions of Accounting Manager and Controller prior to taking on his executive role in 1992. Mr. van Yzerloo’s experience at Aquila included participation in energy acquisitions in Australasia and the acquisition of TransAlta Corp.’s electric distribution system by Aquila in 2000. Mr. van Yzerloo received his Certified General Accountant designation in 1986 and later attended the University of Idaho Energy Industry Leadership program. |
